Biosketch
Dr Wang is
a neuroanatomist. She received her MD, Master Degree and PhD at
the Medical School of Beijing University, Beijing, China and became
an Associate Professor with the institution in Department of Anatomy
in 1990. She received two times of fellowships from the Wenner-Gren
Foundation and worked as a visiting scientist in the Karoliska Institute,
Stockholm, Sweden from 1989 to 1990 and 1992 to 1993. She has been
working in CURE, Division of Digestive Diseases since 1993. Dr.
Lixin Wang has been working on the pathways and chemical coding
in the central and peripheral autonomic nervous system. Her present
research interests are in the studies on stress-induced gastrointestinal
function alterations, regulation of feeding behavior and the related
signals between the periphery and central nervous system.
